The Automated Attendant application functions in place of or as a backup to a live operator to quickly route all incoming calls. An ever couteous voice answers the phone every time: "Hello, you've reached ABC Organization. If you know the extension number you are trying to reach, please enter the four digit code now. If you do not know the extension number, press the star key for a directory. If you would like to speak to an operator, please press 0. If you do not have a touch-tone phone, please hold; your call is being transferred to an operator.

The Automated Attendant guarantees that callers receive a more consistent level of service than offered by live operators. After all, the Auto Attendant is always on the job, is always courteous, and never calls in sick. The system can even answer and route multiple calls simultaneously, which means shorter hold times for callers. And for those tasks that can't be automated, a human operator is always a single touch-tone away.

Voice mail is a compact high performance voice processing system which connects to a business phone system. The system offers businesses the ability to exchange information through the telephone without requiring simultaneous participation by the caller and the receiver. The system converts human speech to digital signals and stores them on the disk to human speech.

System Subscribers can send voice messages to other subscribers. Since almost half of all phone transactions need only one-way communications, the voice mail function streamlines business communication.

When you are not available or prepared to receive calls, you may forward calls to the system. The system answers the phone, takes messages, and stores the messages for retrieval at any time, from any place.
